The book program was great and the feedback positive. I’ve presented to the CDC’s FASD Taskforce over the years and am honored to be invited by these internationally renowned scientists.  Here are some of the photos.

Unbeknownst to me, Laurie had read the book within the first two weeks it was published. When I met her at a Meet-and-Greet a week before the book came out, she recognized my name, asked if I was the author of Chancer, and we had a terrific talk. Then, it occurred to me that our new mayor knew way more about me than I knew about her. But this was one of the first of many experiences where I felt a little more self-conscious about my personal exposure! But I wouldn’t take it back for a second.
